Monica's Bead Challenge

Theresa Osman

Theresa  has taught hundreds of beaders, first at Creative Expressions in Palm Springs and now at Monica’s Quilt and Bead Creations. Her students come back repeatedly for further instruction and mentoring to become accomplished beaders in their own right. Her teaching history has produced a body of work that could serve as the history of beading trends for the past 20 years. Her specialty is creating unique designs using Ndebele, also known as herringbone stitch. Theresa’s work has been featured in such books as Sheila Cleary’s.

Beading 101

Finish three projects in this beginning class: a “Tin Cup” necklace featuring pearl knotting techniques; a beading wire strung necklace or bracelet using crimp bead techniques; and a pair of earrings using a wire-wrapped loop or a stretch bracelet. After this class, you’ll be able to make many styles of necklaces and bracelets or repair old jewelry with the techniques you learn.

Beading 102

Learn how to make multi-strand necklaces and bracelets using cones, wire and elastic. This class is a must for those wanting to focus on designing large gemstone multi-strand pieces as the techniques taught help you finish your work like a professional.
