Second Quarter 2010 Guest Quilting Artists
With our snowbird friends migrating back to northern climates, I haven't scheduled so many guests this quarter. But those I did schedule have wonderful classes to teach!

LeAnn Benedict

Learning sewing when very young, LeAnn went on to take years of sewing and tailoring classes. About 10 years ago, she took her firstquilting class and was hooked! Voted Quilter of the Year by her guild, she's planning quilt #100, though, like most of us, she does have UFOs waiting to be finished.

Larene Smith

Larene began sewing at a very early age -- when she became intrigued because she was told "not to touch" the sewing machine! Not content to stick with patterns designed by others once she learned how to quilt, she started designing her own using a wide variety of techniques. Not only did her local quilt shop appreciate the quality of her design, Hoffman Fabric representatives asked her to design patterns making use of their fabrics.

We're so pleased to have Larene teaching for us. Be prepared for her to "challenge your hidden quilting talents" just as those who mentored her helped uncover her talents.
